When the change appeared on the show
The Los Angeles Times reported that the episodes airing when Bertinelli spoke in January 2024 had been filmed in 2022. Later seasons make the change clearer: TV Insider’s January 2026 recap says Bertinelli was absent from season 13 and that Kardea Brown joined Goldman in her place. Disney+ season 14 episode descriptions also identify Goldman and Brown in the challenges.

A streaming service’s general cast field can cover a series across multiple seasons; it is not necessarily a season-by-season hosting credit. Disney+ lists Bertinelli and Goldman in its overall cast metadata even though its season 14 episode descriptions name Goldman and Brown. For who appears in a particular season, the season-specific episode information is the more relevant detail.
Food Network listings can also vary by market and page. The page retrieved for the UK site showed season 12 episodes featuring Bertinelli and Goldman, while U.S. search listings showed season 14 episode details. Neither older-season information nor broad cast metadata demonstrates that Bertinelli hosted season 13 or 14.
