Usher’s six special guests at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show
Usher’s Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show featured six officially identified special guests: Alicia Keys, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., will.i.am, Lil Jon, and Ludacris. The performance took place on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
That list follows Apple Music’s official retrospective of the show, which names the six collaborators. It does not include the artists who performed before kickoff, and it does not include Usher’s dancers, musicians, acrobats, showgirls, or other production participants.
1. Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys made one of the show’s most prominent surprise appearances. Seated at a red piano, she performed part of If I Ain’t Got You before joining Usher for My Boo, their 2004 duet.

The moment connected the live performance to the Confessions era and gave the show one of its clearest vocal duets. Keys’ appearance was also documented in official Apple Music and NFL coverage of the halftime performance.
2. Jermaine Dupri
Jermaine Dupri appeared during the section devoted to Usher’s 2004 album Confessions. Dupri was a major creative collaborator associated with the album and its sound, making his appearance more than a celebrity cameo: it represented the team behind one of the defining periods of Usher’s career.
The Confessions portion included references to songs such as Confessions Part II and Burn, while the broader performance also revisited Caught Up and My Boo.
For listeners who want the recordings behind this part of the set, Usher’s Confessions CD is the most directly related physical album option. The album contains several songs revisited or represented during the show. Availability and format can vary by retailer.

NFL’s official photography documents H.E.R. performing with Usher, and contemporary coverage highlighted the guitar segment as one of the show’s musical high points.
4. will.i.am
will.i.am appeared for OMG, Usher’s 2010 hit that originally credited will.i.am as a featured collaborator. Their segment included roller-skating choreography, an especially fitting choice for a show built around Usher’s Las Vegas identity.
The skating also echoed an element associated with Usher’s Las Vegas residency. Along with the dancers, costume changes, showgirls, acrobats, and marching-band elements, it made the halftime set feel like a condensed version of a large-scale Vegas production.
5. Lil Jon
Lil Jon appeared near the end of the show for Yeah!, the 2004 hit on which he was a featured collaborator. His entrance helped turn the closing stretch into a reunion of the principal artists associated with the original recording.
6. Ludacris
Ludacris also joined Usher for Yeah!. Together with Lil Jon, he completed the live reunion around one of Usher’s most recognizable songs and one of the most enduringly associated tracks from his catalog.

The closing performance was the clearest example of the halftime show using its guest appearances to recreate the chemistry of the original records rather than simply presenting unrelated cameos.
Usher’s halftime set was a career-spanning performance
The show was designed as a fast-moving overview of roughly three decades of Usher’s career. Its set included or drew on songs such as Caught Up, U Don’t Have to Call, Love in This Club, My Boo, Confessions Part II, Burn, U Got It Bad, OMG, and Yeah!.
Rather than treating the guests as a separate parade of introductions, the production placed them inside the eras and collaborations they helped define:
- Keys: My Boo and the piano-led If I Ain’t Got You moment.
- Dupri: the Confessions section and its 2004-era creative history.
- H.E.R.: the electric-guitar transition after U Got It Bad.
- will.i.am: OMG and the roller-skating sequence.
- Lil Jon and Ludacris: the closing performance of Yeah!.
Apple Music and Roc Nation presented the event as a major career milestone, with production by DPS, Roc Nation and Jesse Collins as executive producers, and Hamish Hamilton directing. The staging combined live vocals and instruments with choreography, a marching band, acrobatics, showgirls, multiple costume changes, and visual references to Usher’s Las Vegas residency.
Who did not appear as Usher’s halftime guests?
Reba McEntire, Post Malone, and Andra Day were not Usher’s halftime-show guests. They were pregame performers at Super Bowl LVIII:

There were also rumors before the show about possible appearances by artists including Beyoncé and Justin Bieber. They should not be added to a verified list of Usher’s halftime guests: the official retrospective and NFL documentation used for this account identify the six collaborators listed above.
How to watch or revisit the performance
The complete performance was published through the NFL’s official YouTube channel. Apple Music also offered a 13-minute concert-film presentation in Spatial Audio and maintained a broader Road to Halftime collection with the performance, interviews, rehearsal and behind-the-scenes material, playlists, and Usher’s catalog.
Because streaming rights, subscriptions, and territorial availability can change, check the current listing on the NFL and Apple Music platforms before relying on a particular replay. An official digital concert film is supported by the available sources; do not assume that a DVD or Blu-ray release exists without verifying a current retailer listing.

Usher’s Coming Home was released on February 9, 2024, two days before the Super Bowl performance. A physical CD is available through retailers, but it should be treated as a companion to the event rather than the album behind the guest reunions. The most important guest moments drew on Usher’s established catalog, especially the material associated with Confessions, My Boo, OMG, and Yeah!.
