He also joked that other cities boo Perth when he brings it up—and said he sticks up for locals.
What Tyler said about Perth

He later described the playful rivalry he encounters elsewhere: “When I mention Perth to the other cities, they boo the f*** out of y’all,” he told the crowd, before adding, “You know what I do? I stick up for y’all.” The combination of praise and mock city rivalry was the core of the remarks reported from the show.
Why he has praised Perth before
PerthNow connected the comments to Tyler’s earlier remarks about the city. Its 2025 report recalls a 2022 Converse All Stars Q&A in which he reportedly said he had spent about five days in Perth and liked its relaxed atmosphere. The report quotes him describing Sydney as feeling like a city and Perth as “super chill,” where “you’re in a cut.” That wording is historical reporting by PerthNow; the original Q&A was not checked here.

What else was reported from the concert
PerthNow’s contemporaneous review places the performance in the context of a tour drawing on Chromakopia and Don’t Tap The Glass. The reviewer names “Sugar On My Tongue,” “St. Chroma,” “Earfquake” and “New Magic Wand” among the songs performed. These are details from the review, not an official setlist. The review also recounts Tyler mentioning that he likes Golden Gaytime ice creams, a lighter anecdote than his remarks about Perth. Read PerthNow’s concert review.
