The title most likely refers to Live from the Other Side with Tyler Henry, Netflix’s live weekly series of celebrity readings—not the separate 2022 docuseries Life After Death with Tyler Henry. Netflix reported that Henry did not know the guests’ identities until cameras began rolling. That detail describes the show’s format; it does not independently verify his claims about communicating with the dead.
What is Tyler Henry’s Netflix series?
Live from the Other Side with Tyler Henry is the series described by Netflix as a live weekly program in which celebrity guests receive readings. Netflix Tudum reported that the show returned on September 17, 2024, for an eight-episode weekly run moderated by Amanda Kloots. Those are details of the reported 2024 run, not a current schedule. Netflix’s Media Center listing identifies the program.

Netflix reported that Henry was not told who he would read until he met the guest as the cameras began rolling. That is a concrete feature of the setup, but it does not establish that a reading is accurate or that a deceased person has communicated. The available Netflix coverage describes the program and records what Henry and participants say; it is not an independent test of mediumship.
It is different from Life After Death with Tyler Henry
The similarly named Life After Death with Tyler Henry is a separate 2022 reality/docuseries. Netflix lists nine episodes and frames it around readings as well as Henry’s family history. It should not be confused with the later live celebrity-reading format. Netflix’s 2022 coverage discusses that earlier series.

What does “raw, unedited and unfiltered” mean here?
In this context, the phrase points to the live format: a broadcast has less room for conventional edits made after filming than a program assembled from recorded footage. Netflix’s report that Henry learned guests’ identities only as cameras began rolling adds a specific production detail. Neither point establishes that every element is untouched by production, nor do they prove the supernatural interpretation of a reading.
“Unedited” should therefore be understood as framing for the live experience, not as a guarantee about every production choice or as evidence that the claims are true. The distinction matters: a format can affect how much post-recording editing is possible without answering whether a medium can communicate with the dead.
How does Henry describe his readings?
Henry characterizes his work as interpretive rather than as a simple, literal exchange. In a December 11, 2024 interview with Netflix Tudum, he said, “I liken my job to that of a mailman,” adding that he feels responsible for how he delivers what he receives. He also called the work “very much an interpretive process.” These are Henry’s descriptions of his role, not independently established findings.
In Netflix Tudum’s 2022 explanation of his method, Henry described experiencing impressions before a session, scribbling or drawing during a reading, and translating sensory associations for clients. He said, “My sixth sense uses the other five senses to communicate.” He also described uncertainty over whether a personal object itself carries energy or simply serves as a reminder. These accounts explain how Henry says he works; they do not verify that the impressions come from deceased people.
Henry has also joked, “I don’t see dead people walking around,” adding that his job would be easier if he did. That remark, like his other comments, is an account of his own experience rather than evidence for or against mediumship.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the live format prove Henry’s claims?
No. A live setting and a guest whose identity is withheld until filming begins can be relevant details when considering how a particular reading was produced. They are not, by themselves, controlled tests of accuracy, and they do not rule out every possible source of information or interpretation. Netflix’s entertainment coverage does not provide independent scientific verification of mediumship.
The sources cited here establish the programs’ stated formats and preserve Henry’s and guests’ accounts. They do not establish a validated accuracy rate for Henry’s readings or independently demonstrate communication with the dead. A careful viewer can distinguish what is observable—the broadcast, the exchange, and the production setup—from the explanation offered for what a reading means.
