The two series named in a July 3, 2024, BGR article were Geek Girl and The Mole. Andy Meek reported that both had 100% Rotten Tomatoes critic scores at that time. That is a historical snapshot—not confirmation of either series’ score today.
Which Netflix shows did the headline name?
Andy Meek’s July 3, 2024, article identified two very different series: Geek Girl, a scripted young-adult drama, and The Mole, a reality competition. The article said each had a 100% Rotten Tomatoes critic score on publication. Read the BGR article.

Geek Girl: a coming-of-age story rooted in a novel
Geek Girl adapts Holly Smale’s bestselling YA novel. It follows Harriet Manners, a socially awkward student whose life changes after a modeling agent notices her during a school field trip. The series is the more natural pick for viewers seeking a scripted, character-led story. BGR’s article reported that it had spent four weeks on Netflix’s global English TV chart and recorded 2.3 million views for the week ending June 23, 2024; those are historical figures reported at the time, not current viewing data.
The Mole: a competition with a hidden saboteur
The Mole revives a reality-competition format previously aired on ABC. Twelve contestants complete group challenges to build a prize pot, while one secretly assigned contestant—the mole—works against the group. It is a better fit for viewers drawn to strategy, deception, and the question of whom to trust. The BGR article’s references to episodes scheduled for July 5 and July 12 were specific to 2024 and do not describe a current release schedule.

What does a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score mean?
A 100% Tomatometer score means that all critic reviews counted in the score were positive; it is not an average grade, a guarantee that every critic loved the series, or a measure of how strongly critics liked it. The July 2024 article supplies the historical claim, but the available evidence does not establish the review count behind either figure or verify the shows’ current scores.
Rotten Tomatoes scores can change as reviews are added. To assess either series now, check its individual Rotten Tomatoes page and note the displayed score, critic-review count, and date you checked. A general Netflix movie browse page or editorial guide to Netflix movies does not establish current ratings for these two series.

Were these really Netflix’s “newest releases”?
“Newest” in the headline described the article’s July 2024 news context, not a lasting status. Netflix additions are announced by month and can vary by market; a title newly added to the service may itself be an older production. Netflix’s October 2026 Tudum page gives that month’s arrival context, while a Netflix catalog listing can include titles added in earlier years. When calling a show new to Netflix, specify the month and territory rather than implying it is a new production or newly available everywhere.
