March 2025 premieres

March brought a second group of ABC midseason returns, the new season of American Idol, and several Netflix launches. Netflix’s March schedule included both a weekly live series and conventional scripted and returning-series releases.

April through June 2025

The second quarter mixed documentary and reality programming with animation, an HBO documentary series, a Max original drama, and the final season of one of Netflix’s biggest international hits. The dates below refer to U.S. availability.

NBC built its fall around recognizable franchises

NBC’s fall cycle began September 22 with The Voice and Brilliant Minds. The Law & Order franchise followed on September 25, and the three-show One Chicago block—Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D.—returned October 1. NBC stated that original programming was available on Peacock the next day, so a broadcast premiere and a next-day streaming opportunity were separate parts of the viewing schedule.

FOX combined competitions, drama, and animation

FOX’s fall rollout moved from celebrity competition to scripted drama and then to its animation block. Celebrity Weakest Link premiered September 15 alongside the returning Celebrity Name That Tune. Murder in a Small Town and Doc returned September 23, while new competition series 99 to Beat and returning The Floor arrived September 24. On September 28, The Simpsons, Universal Basic Guys, Krapopolis, and Bob’s Burgers returned as part of Animation Domination.

CBS spread its premiere week across late September and October

CBS formally described its premiere week as beginning October 12, but its 2025 schedule was already moving before that date. Survivor began season 49 with a two-hour premiere on September 24, and The Amazing Race was part of the earlier late-September rollout before the regular Wednesday schedule began October 1.
