In episode #442 of the Lex Fridman Podcast, published September 3, 2024, Donald Trump discussed posting on Truth Social late at night and answered questions about Jeffrey Epstein. The episode records Trump’s remarks in an interview; it does not independently verify his posting habits, his statements about Epstein, or claims about other people.

The transcript records Trump saying, “I call it my typewriter. That’s actually my typewriter.” This is his description of the platform. The exchange does not establish how often he posted at those hours or independently confirm his sleep schedule.
What the Epstein exchange records
Fridman asked Trump why he had hesitated about releasing some Epstein documents. Trump said he was not involved and said he had never gone to Epstein’s island. He characterized Epstein as “a good salesman” and said many prominent people had gone to the island.

When Fridman asked about a list of people who went there, Trump called its non-publication “very interesting,” said it probably would become public, and said he would be inclined to look at it. These are remarks made during the interview.
