Kelce thanked her and called her “a real one,” according to an October 30, 2024, report by theJasmineBRAND.
What Niecy Nash said about keeping Kelce’s relationship private
Nash appeared on New Heights with Travis Kelce and his brother Jason. The conversation touched on Nash and Kelce working together on Ryan Murphy’s series Grotesquerie, and on the attention Kelce’s relationship with Swift attracted.
As reported by theJasmineBRAND, Nash said people would text her with questions that seemed to be about Grotesquerie, then pivot to asking what she knew about Kelce and Swift. Her response, as quoted in that report, was: “I’m like, man, get off that man’s business…I’m a vault. I don’t say nothing.”
The remark presents Nash’s position plainly: she would not share private information. It does not establish that she knew undisclosed details about the couple.

How Travis Kelce responded
Kelce thanked Nash for showing support and called her “a real one.” He also said, as quoted by theJasmineBRAND: “You know it’s real, and you know that me and Tay are absolutely happy.”
The available account is the contemporaneous article’s retelling of the podcast exchange; the podcast recording itself has not been independently verified here. The quotations above are therefore attributed to that report.
Kelce had addressed privacy before
The exchange echoed an earlier public comment from Kelce. In September 2023, the Associated Press reported that he had said on New Heights: “What’s real is that it is my personal life. I want to respect both of our lives.” He also indicated that he intended to keep future remarks largely focused on sports, according to the AP report.

The 2024 conversation took place while coverage described Swift and Kelce as dating. The timeline has since moved on: the Associated Press reported their engagement announcement in August 2025, and a July 2026 Daily Beast report said Nash-Betts discussed their wedding on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The latter is secondary entertainment reporting, not confirmation from the couple. These later developments do not change what Nash said in the 2024 exchange.
Read in its original context, the moment was a brief discussion about people seeking relationship details from Kelce’s co-star—and Nash’s refusal to provide them—not a revelation about what she knew.
