Travis Barker reportedly auctioned a Qantas business-class boarding pass for a Sydney-to-Perth flight, with a handwritten message and cross, for roughly US$8,000 (A$12,547). PerthNow reported the sale on 30 July 2024; the amount is a historical reported figure, not a current valuation.
What was auctioned?
PerthNow reported that the item was a Qantas business-class boarding pass for a flight from Sydney (SYD) to Perth (PER), dated 7 February and associated with Barker’s recent Australian tour. The report does not specify the year of the flight.
The pass was reportedly framed with a signed certificate of authenticity. PerthNow said it was listed through Trophy, quoting the listing’s description of it as a “true one of a kind item for the ultimate Travis Barker collector.”
What message was on the pass?
PerthNow reported that the pass carried the handwritten words “I know I got angels watching over me…” alongside a cross drawing. The article connected the message to Barker’s survival of the 2008 plane crash in which four of his friends died.

What is known about the listing?
The report quoted Trophy’s listing as calling the pass an “extremely rare commercial boarding pass” with an original handwritten note and cross drawing. That characterization, and the accompanying authenticity certificate, are details reported by PerthNow rather than independently verified against the original listing. The linked Trophy page could not be opened, so the buyer, transaction mechanics and present listing status are not established.
