PerthNow described the conditions as 39C, but its report did not explain why Barker was dressed that way.
What was reported about the Swan River ride?
PerthNow reporter Zach Margolius published the sighting on 8 February 2024. The article said Barker was cycling along the Swan River in Perth and described him wearing a beanie, long pants and a black T-shirt. Read the PerthNow report.
PerthNow characterized the conditions as 39C. That figure is the newspaper’s description; an official weather-station reading for the specific place and time is not established by the reporting.
Why was Travis Barker wearing a beanie in Perth’s heat?
The report gives no reason for Barker’s clothing choice. It describes what he wore but includes no explanation from him, so any claim about his motive would be speculation.

How did the sighting relate to Blink-182’s Perth shows?

PerthNow also attributed a comment about the Perth set to Blink-182 co-vocalist Mark Hoppus, speaking to 9NEWS: “We got new songs that we are playing for the first time in Perth. The first live performances of these songs will be in your city and a lot of bad words probably.”

- MIPS EVOLVE CORE — All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards. The goal of Giro's Mips Evolve Core-equipped helmets is to reduce rotational forces while enhancing fit and comfort by combining the Mips slip plane with the helmet's adjustable fit system. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the amount of rotational force that may be transferred to rider's brain in certain impacts.
- IN-MOLD CONSTRUCTION — In-Mold Construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.
- ROC LOC SPORT FIT SYSTEM — The Roc Loc Sport fit system offers easy one-handed operation with a 7cm adjustment range. Its confident clicking feel and sound lets riders know that the helmet is adjusting to a comfortable fit. With comfort similar to Roc Loc 5 and ponytail compatibility, the new Roc Loc Sport fit system brings premium function to sport level helmets.
- DEEP INTERNAL CHANNELING — Combined with the massive vents, internal channeling forces air to flow over the scalp, providing remarkable cooling power.
