At the 78th Annual Tony Awards on June 8, 2025, Nicole Scherzinger performed “As If We Never Said Goodbye” from the Broadway revival of Sunset Blvd. She later won the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for the production.
What Nicole Scherzinger performed
Scherzinger’s Tony Awards number was “As If We Never Said Goodbye,” a song from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Blvd. Broadway revival. Broadway News identified the song in its roundup of the ceremony’s performances: Broadway News’ 2025 Tony Awards performance roundup. The televised number was a performance from the production, not a complete recording of the Broadway show.
When and where the performance aired
The 78th Annual Tony Awards took place June 8, 2025, at Radio City Music Hall. The American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League presented the ceremony. It aired on CBS and streamed live and on demand on Paramount+ in the United States at the time, according to the Tony Awards announcement. That announcement describes the event’s original distribution; it does not establish whether the 2025 ceremony is currently available to stream.
Scherzinger’s Tony Award
Scherzinger won the Tony for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for Sunset Blvd. The Tony Awards’ official video description identifies her acceptance at the June 8 ceremony, and the Associated Press also lists her among the winners: AP’s 2025 Tony Awards winners list.

In her acceptance speech, Scherzinger said, “Growing up, I always felt like I didn’t belong, but you all have made me feel like I belong and I have come home at last,” as reported by the Associated Press.

The Tony Awards’ production page for Sunset Blvd. describes Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical returning to Broadway in a new production starring Scherzinger. The published closing date is inconsistent: the Tony Awards page lists July 13, 2025, while the show’s official website says its final Broadway performance was July 20, 2025. Because the pages conflict, neither date can be presented as an uncontested closing date.
