Birmingham City beat Fulham Under-21s 7-1 in the EFL Trophy on a Tuesday evening at St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park, according to a Goal.com UK report published on October 30, 2024. The result sent Birmingham through to the round of 32, and minority owner Tom Brady marked it with a single word on Instagram: “KRO.”
The match result
The report describes a comfortable home win for Birmingham over the Fulham Under-21 side, with seven goals shared across five scorers. The reporting gives the final score and the scorers, but it does not include a goal-by-goal timeline or full match statistics, so the details below are limited to what the report states.
| Scorer | Goals (as reported by Goal.com UK) |
|---|---|
| Jay Stansfield | 2 |
| Ayumu Yokoyama | 2 |
| Alfie May | 1 |
| Keshi Anderson | 1 |
| Lyndon Dykes | 1 |
What the result meant for Birmingham
According to the same report, the win guaranteed Birmingham’s progression to the EFL Trophy round of 32. That is the immediate consequence the report describes at publication. The article’s headline also framed the result as putting Birmingham within sight of Wembley. That was a forward-looking description written at the time, not a report of a later final, and nothing in the report establishes how far Birmingham went in the competition after that round.
Tom Brady’s reaction
Goal.com identifies Brady as a Birmingham minority owner and reports that he posted “KRO” to his Instagram Story after the match. The report attributes that exact text to Brady and does not expand it into a longer quotation. The original Story is not independently available for checking, so the wording rests on Goal.com’s account.

The report explains the abbreviation as “Keep Right On,” a chant it describes as sung by Birmingham supporters since the mid-1950s. That historical claim comes from the same single report; no independent primary source for the chant’s origins is established here.
Brady’s other visit to St. Andrew’s
The report also notes that Brady attended a different Birmingham match in September. Nothing in the report places him at this EFL Trophy fixture. His post should be read as a social-media reaction to the result, not as evidence of attendance.
