How Connections works
Connections presents a board of 16 words. The goal is to sort them into four groups of four that share a connection. The groups are color-coded by difficulty, with yellow generally the easiest and purple the hardest. An incorrect submission can be marked “one away” when three of the four words belong together, and players have a limited number of mistakes before the game ends. The cited guides describe the puzzle as playable through NYT Games; this article provides clues and answers rather than the game board itself.
