Can you watch Thursday Night Football without cable?
Yes. Prime Video is the national streaming platform for Thursday Night Football, so a traditional cable television subscription is not required for the Prime Video stream. Viewers still need the appropriate current Prime access and a supported device or browser; this article does not assign a current membership price, trial term, or eligibility rule because those terms can change.
Amazon originally announced a package of 15 regular-season Thursday Night Football games plus one preseason game annually. That historical rights announcement explains the role Prime Video plays in the package, but it should not be read as a promise about every future season’s exact schedule. Amazon’s original NFL rights announcement contains that historical figure.

Need a streaming device for your TV?
If your television does not already support the Prime Video app, a Fire TV Stick for Prime Video is one option for adding a compatible streaming interface. Amazon’s Fire TV documentation describes the platform and its supported streaming devices, while the Fire TV device specifications identify current device models. The hardware is optional and does not replace the Prime Video access required for the stream.
Can you record or replay Thursday Night Football?
Amazon says viewers can opt to record the entire Thursday Night Football season through the Prime Video interface. Amazon’s guide says season recordings can include the game, pregame, postgame, and alternate streams, and says recorded content remains available until the beginning of the following NFL season. Because retention policies and interface features can change, verify the current terms on Prime Video before relying on a recording.
Viewers who do not enable season recording may have limited rewind functionality from the point at which they joined the live game. That limitation matters for live viewing; a completed 2024 game may instead appear as a replay according to current availability.
Why do some pages describe Broncos vs. Saints as an upcoming game?
The matchup wording comes from the real 2024 Week 7 Thursday Night Football game, which received attention because former Saints head coach Sean Payton returned to New Orleans as Denver’s head coach. Older previews, watch guides, and search results can continue circulating after the game has ended.
