Three children—a 15-year-old boy and his sisters, ages 12 and 13—were found in a severely unsanitary Pontiac, Michigan, home during a welfare check on February 14, 2025, according to secondary news reports. Those reports said their mother was arrested that day. The allegations and later legal outcome have not been independently established in the material available here.
What was reported in Pontiac
Secondary reports said deputies went to the residence on Friday, February 14, 2025, for a welfare check after a landlord raised concerns. The landlord reportedly had not heard from the tenant since December and said rent had gone unpaid since October. These details were reported by The Headline Society and secondary coverage; no original sheriff’s release was available to confirm them.
News accounts identified the children as a 15-year-old boy and his two sisters, ages 12 and 13. They described garbage, mold and human waste in the home, and said the children were wearing soiled clothing and had matted hair and overgrown toenails. These are reported descriptions of the conditions, not findings independently verified here. [c001] [c002]
