Who plays Detective Colman Akande?
Daryl McCormack plays Detective Colman Akande. Colman is pursuing Lorna for a crime that at first seems separate from the body she discovers. As the two investigations converge, his case brings him into the orbit of Lorna’s life and past. The official synopsis describes the crime as seemingly unrelated at first, without supplying further case details.
What is The Woman in the Wall about?
Lorna lives in Kilkinure, a fictional small Irish town. After waking to a corpse in her home, she tries to work out what happened while Detective Colman Akande investigates her. The mystery is linked to Lorna’s adolescence: she was incarcerated at the fictional Kilkinure Convent, gave birth to a daughter named Agnes, and had the child taken from her. The story connects that fictional past to the legacy of Ireland’s Magdalene Laundries. Paramount’s official synopsis describes the premise and calls the series a six-episode thriller.

Is Kilkinure a real place?
No. Kilkinure and its convent are fictional elements of the story, not real historical places or institutions. The series draws on the historical legacy of the Magdalene Laundries, but its official synopsis does not identify Kilkinure as one of them.
