What happens in “La Paradis Pour Toi”?
Full spoilers follow.
Pouvoir launches an attack on the Nest while Losang attempts to restore the Union’s faith by testing the belief that Laurent is immune. Isabelle challenges Losang, recognizing that his actions are driven by fear of losing control. He stabs her and leaves her wounded as the attack unfolds.

Carol reaches the Nest and finds Daryl. She brings him to Isabelle, who dies after asking him to look after Laurent. In her final moments, Isabelle also recalls the fireflies Daryl had promised she would see.
What happens after Daryl and Carol reunite?
Daryl and Carol set out to find Laurent and Fallou, but learn the two have already left. They continue toward Paris. Theo helps them get a car, then betrays them to Pouvoir. Didi is killed in the conflict that follows.

Genet also dies from the effects of the experimental serum she used on her forces. At the Nest, Sabine takes control and plans to bring the Union and Pouvoir together in the pursuit of Laurent.
Why Isabelle’s death matters
The episode’s emotional turning point is the contrast between Daryl and Carol’s reunion and Isabelle’s final moments. Her request gives Daryl a direct responsibility toward Laurent, while her reference to the fireflies ties her ending to the promise he made her.

Showrunner and co-writer David Zabel described the aim for Isabelle’s death as “great dignity, intelligence, strength, and a really moving ending to the character,” in comments reported by ComicBook.com. Norman Reedus said of the reunion scene, “The world just starts spinning on mute and the only thing that matters is those two people right there,” in an interview with TheWrap. Reedus also said the reunion scene was rewritten collaboratively and described the relationship as something earned over time.

Prime Video’s Season 2 listing identifies the episode as “La Paradis Pour Toi” and offers AMC+ access and digital episode purchase options on its cited locale listing; availability can vary by region and change over time. The listing shows a duration of 1 hour 4 minutes, while the UK British Board of Film Classification record gives a runtime of 54 minutes 20 seconds. These are different published listings, so runtime depends on the source.
