No verified figure for Ben and Erin Napier’s combined net worth is established by the official sources reviewed. HGTV documents their television and design careers, while the couple’s business histories describe their stores and woodworking operation. None of those sources gives their personal assets, debts, ownership shares or a valuation. The word “outrageous” is therefore a headline flourish, not a substantiated financial finding.
Is there a verified Ben and Erin Napier net-worth figure?
Not in the official sources reviewed for this article. HGTV’s biographies describe the Napiers’ work, and their business websites outline products and company milestones, but those materials do not disclose a combined personal net worth or explain how one might be calculated. A dollar figure repeated by an estimate site is not verified simply because it appears online.
Net worth is not the same as business activity or public visibility. A defensible personal estimate would require evidence about assets, debts, ownership stakes and valuation methods. The reviewed sources provide none of those details.
What is documented about their careers and businesses?
Television, design and woodworking
HGTV identifies Ben as a woodworker and entrepreneur, co-host of Home Town and operator of Scotsman Co. It describes Erin as a designer and entrepreneur and a co-host of the series. The network also describes the couple’s work restoring homes and their involvement in Laurel Mercantile. These are career and role descriptions, not financial disclosures: HGTV’s Ben Napier profile and HGTV’s Erin Napier profile.

Scotsman Co. and Laurel Mercantile
Scotsman’s company history says Ben began making butcher blocks for sale at Laurel Mercantile, and describes Scotsman as a manufacturing business producing cutting boards and butcher blocks. That establishes a real woodworking business and its product categories; it does not establish sales, profit or the value of the company: Scotsman’s company history.
Laurel Mercantile’s official timeline records the store’s opening in December 2016, the addition of Scotsman General Store in 2018, the creation of Scotsman Manufacturing in 2021 and the opening of the Scent Library in 2022. These milestones show how the businesses developed, but say nothing about the Napiers’ personal wealth: Laurel Mercantile’s history.

Product collaborations
HGTV reports an Erin Napier wallpaper line with York Wallcoverings that launched in 2023, as well as a lighting line with Shades of Light. A reported collaboration does not reveal its current availability, the financial terms or what income—if any—went to the Napiers: HGTV’s report on the design collaborations.
Why business milestones cannot establish personal net worth
A store, product line or television role may be part of a person’s financial picture, but its existence does not show how much its owners earn or own. A company’s sales are not the same as its profits, and profits are not the same as an individual’s take-home income. Personal net worth also depends on liabilities and the owner’s share of any business assets.

- Scope: Is the number for Ben, Erin or both? Does it claim to measure personal net worth, business value, income or something else?
- Date and geography: When was it published, and what market or currency does it refer to?
- Method: Does it explain how assets, debts and business ownership shares were assessed?
If those basics are missing, estimates from different sites are not meaningfully comparable. No reviewed official source supplies a figure that can serve as a verified benchmark.

HGTV’s interview marking Home Town’s 100th episode captures the uncertainty of entertainment work; Erin Napier remarked, “We know entertainment is a finicky business.” That comment is about the industry, not her family’s finances, and it should not be read as evidence for or against any net-worth estimate: HGTV’s 100th-episode Q&A.
