Aunt Lydia
Ann Dowd reprises Aunt Lydia, one of the clearest connections between the two television series. How does the series fit into The Handmaid’s Tale?
The Testaments is a sequel in the television adaptation’s world, but it tells a new-generation story rather than continuing June’s as its main focus. Disney+ describes the events as taking place four years after the fall of Boston in the final season; the Associated Press describes them as five years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale. Is The Testaments based on a book?
