The Terminal List Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on October 21, 2026, with all eight episodes arriving together on Prime Video. There is no official delay announcement in Amazon’s current release information. For viewers coming from The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, the next James Reece story adapts Jack Carr’s novel True Believer.
When does The Terminal List Season 2 come out?
Amazon has set October 21, 2026, as the premiere date for Season 2. All eight episodes are scheduled to be released on that date, rather than weekly. Amazon lists the season as exclusive to Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories; actual availability can vary by location. What is the “bad news” after Dark Wolf?
If you hoped Dark Wolf would lead directly into a weekly Season 2 rollout, the release format is different: Season 2 is planned as a single-day drop. The upside is that viewers will not have to wait between episodes once the season premieres. Amazon has announced a date, not a delay; as with any future release, plans and local availability may change.
What is Season 2 about?
The new season adapts Jack Carr’s second James Reece novel, True Believer. Amazon’s description says Reece is searching for a new purpose while confronting a conspiracy that stretches from Moscow to Langley and connects to his family’s history. Chris Pratt, who stars and is an executive producer, called the season “a love letter to the Special Operations community.” Read Amazon’s overview of the cast, plot, and release date for the official season details.

How does Dark Wolf fit into the viewing order?
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is a prequel centered on Ben Edwards and his path from the Navy SEALs into CIA Special Operations. Amazon places its events seven years before the original series. The prequel’s first three episodes arrived August 27, 2025, followed by weekly episodes through its September 24 finale. Amazon lists both the original The Terminal List and Dark Wolf as available on Prime Video, alongside the announced Season 2.
- Watch The Terminal List Season 1 to follow James Reece’s original story.
- Watch The Terminal List: Dark Wolf for Ben Edwards’ prequel story.
- Watch Season 2 from October 21, 2026, when all eight episodes are scheduled to arrive.
That order is a useful way to approach the franchise, but Amazon has not said that watching Dark Wolf is required to understand Season 2. More on the prequel’s premise and 2025 rollout is in Amazon’s Dark Wolf guide.
