EA’s 25th-anniversary celebration for The Sims brought together several separate releases: a free update and limited-time event for The Sims 4, paid Windows re-releases of the original The Sims and The Sims 2, and a limited-edition merchandise collection. The anniversary was marked on February 4, 2025; the Legacy Collections began rolling out on January 31.
What was included in The Sims’ 25th-anniversary celebration?
The announcements covered distinct products and activities, not one all-in-one update. The Sims 4 content was free, while the Legacy Collections were paid digital game collections. EA also announced physical commemorative merchandise and a separate MySims PC release.
