The Little Couple stopped airing after its 2019 season, but the available reporting does not establish that TLC formally canceled it or give a definitive network explanation. The show’s disappearance coincided with a legal and business dispute between producer LMNO Cable Group and Discovery, TLC’s parent company. That dispute is important context—not proof that it was the sole cause of the show’s end.
When did The Little Couple end?
According to TV Insider’s January 27, 2026 overview, the series ran from 2009 to 2019, airing 12 seasons across those years. Its final season had 10 episodes. The show did not return after that season.

TV Insider reports that the series was never officially canceled. That is the outlet’s account; it is not a direct public explanation from TLC. The clearest description supported by the reporting is that the show stopped airing after 2019 and was not brought back.
How the LMNO–Discovery dispute fits in
The show’s end came amid a dispute between LMNO, its production company, and Discovery, TLC’s parent company. A June 2016 Courthouse News Service report on LMNO’s complaint described competing claims about accounting records and the status of several series.

What LMNO alleged
LMNO accused Discovery of terminating shows after a disagreement over accounting records and using that dispute as a pretext to take over The Little Couple. The complaint’s allegation, quoted by Courthouse News Service, was that Discovery wanted “the ability to steal ‘The Little Couple’ and produce the show behind LMNO’s back.” That was LMNO’s claim in litigation, not a finding established by the report.
Courthouse News Service also reported that LMNO sought at least $7 million in damages. That figure was the amount LMNO requested, not an award.

What Discovery said
The same report said Discovery maintained that LMNO had improperly charged it for several shows and that Discovery sent termination notices for six series, including The Little Couple. These opposing accounts explain why the legal conflict is relevant, but they do not establish a definitive cause for the show’s disappearance.

Bill Klein and Jen Arnold later pursued their own dispute with LMNO over contract and fraud issues. TV Insider reports that a judge rejected their fraud allegations and their attempt to rescind intellectual-property rights. Their breach-of-contract claim proceeded before the parties settled in 2020.
