The trailer reported in September 2024 was for The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials 2, an anime-original honeymoon story set after the 2022 movie. It follows Futaro Uesugi and the Nakano sisters—Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki. The special has since been released, so the trailer’s description of it as “upcoming” is historical, not its current status.
What is The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials 2 about?
The special continues the story after the 2022 movie and centers on Futaro and all five Nakano sisters celebrating their honeymoon. It is a new anime storyline supervised by series creator Negi Haruba, rather than simply an adaptation of manga chapters left out of the earlier anime.
