Among the original six, Robert Downey Jr. is commonly presented at the top of published estimate lists, but the available figures do not establish a definitive winner. So the most accurate answer is that Downey Jr. is a leading name in estimates, not that a verified public record proves he has the largest fortune. Net worth attempts to account for assets and liabilities. A film payday records compensation for a project; annual earnings cover a particular period. Neither, on its own, reveals accumulated wealth.

The figures should not be added together or sorted into one leaderboard: they concern different people, measures, and publication dates. Why reported Marvel pay does not settle net worth
Even a well-reported project salary is only one part of an actor’s finances. It does not account for other work, investments, business interests, taxes, debts, spending, or how income is divided under a contract. Box-office participation can also make a project’s final compensation different from a simple upfront fee. - Check the scope: Does the list mean the original six, performers from the Avengers films, or a wider group of MCU actors?
- Check the metric: Is the number an estimated net worth, a single-project salary, or earnings during a specified year?
- Check the date and publisher: Estimates can differ across outlets and change over time; a publisher’s figure is not automatically a disclosed financial statement.
- Check what is documented: A reported contract payment is not evidence of total wealth, while an unattributed estimate should remain labeled as an estimate.
