The Madness is Netflix’s 2024 limited series about Muncie Daniels, played by Colman Domingo, a television pundit who becomes a murder suspect after finding a body in the Poconos. The main cast includes his ex-wife Elena, FBI agent Franco Quinones, and family members and allies whose relationships with Muncie shape his attempt to clear his name.
Who is in the cast of The Madness?
Netflix’s series centers on Colman Domingo, Marsha Stephanie Blake and John Ortiz, with a wider supporting cast tied to Muncie’s family, the murder investigation and the conspiracy around it. The character descriptions below focus on roles identified in Netflix’s Tudum guide; Netflix’s title listing also names additional cast members whose characters are not described in the available guide.
Colman Domingo as Muncie Daniels
Muncie is a respected author and news commentator on the verge of getting his own show. On a solo trip to the Poconos, he comes across a dead body and becomes a prime suspect. Netflix’s series description also presents him as a political consultant turned TV pundit who had taken a sabbatical to write a novel. As the sole witness to the killing, he goes on the run to clear his name and untangle a conspiracy.
Marsha Stephanie Blake as Elena Daniels
Elena is Muncie’s ex-wife and a professor. As the threat reaches their family, she helps him pursue unusual leads and acts protectively toward both her immediate family and the wider neighborhood community. Their history makes her more than a source of information: she has to weigh the danger of helping Muncie against the safety of those around her.

Franco connects Muncie to the investigation from inside law enforcement, but that does not make their relationship a simple matter of trust.
Tamsin Topolski as Lucie Simon
Lucie is the estranged wife of the white supremacist Muncie is accused of killing. She is trying to leave behind her former peer group and past choices and become a better person. Her connection to the victim places her close to the case, while her effort to change gives her own story a separate moral tension.

Gabrielle Graham as Kallie
Kallie is Muncie’s adult daughter from an earlier relationship. Their relationship is strained because Muncie was not present in her life, and she has a family life of her own. Her connection to Muncie is distinct from Demetrius’s: she is not simply another child caught up in his current household crisis, but an adult confronting the consequences of their past.

Other cast members and character-name notes
Netflix’s official title listing also includes Bradley Whitford and Stephen McKinley Henderson. Tudum’s gallery captions identify Henderson as Isiah, but the character guide does not provide a fuller description of that role or a character function for Whitford. Without more detail from those official listings, it is more accurate to identify them as cast members than to assign them plot roles.
There is also a naming inconsistency in Netflix Tudum’s material: its character heading calls Topolski’s character Lucie Simon, while image alt text uses “Lucie Snipes.” This guide follows the character heading and uses Lucie Simon.

What kind of story brings this cast together?
The Madness is a conspiracy thriller, but its central problem is not only whether Muncie can prove he did not commit the murder. He must also navigate disinformation, a public accusation and the danger those pressures bring to his family. The family relationships give the pursuit personal stakes, while Franco, Kwesi and Lucie connect Muncie to different parts of the case.
Netflix classifies the 2024 title as a limited series. The company announced an eight-episode format in 2023. It streams on Netflix; availability may vary by region.
