The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is led by Brian Cox as Helm Hammerhand, Gaia Wise as his daughter Héra, and Luke Pasqualino as the Dunlending lord Wulf. Miranda Otto returns as Éowyn, the narrator. Set 183 years before the original film trilogy, the animated story brings Helm’s people to a last stand at the Hornburg—the fortress later known as Helm’s Deep.

Who is Wulf, and why does he attack Rohan?
Wulf is a Dunlending lord and the principal adversary in the official synopsis. After his father Freca dies, Wulf seeks vengeance. His sudden attack forces Helm and his people to defend themselves at the Hornburg. The official synopsis describes Wulf as clever and ruthless, but does not establish further plot details beyond that conflict.

How is the film connected to Helm’s Deep?
The Hornburg is the ancient stronghold where Helm and his people make their last stand. The official film site identifies it as the fortress later known as Helm’s Deep. That connection anchors the prequel to a location familiar from the original film trilogy without making the two stories the same event.
