Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is the highest-grossing concert tour of all time in the records cited here. Guinness World Records lists its gross at $2,077,618,725, based on figures reported to Billboard Boxscore; Pollstar separately estimated about $2.2 billion for the same 149-show run, as reported by The Associated Press in December 2024. Those are different source-reported totals, not interchangeable numbers.

Pollstar’s separate estimate, reported by The Associated Press in December 2024, put the tour’s gross at approximately $2.2 billion across those 149 shows. AP reported that Pollstar drew on box-office reports, estimates of venue capacity, historical ticket-sales data for venues and other research. The Associated Press on Pollstar’s estimate
The two totals should be attributed to their publishers rather than combined or presented as if one were a correction of the other. “Highest-grossing” means reported ticket revenue, not profit, total attendance or tickets sold.

Why do published gross totals differ?
A tour gross is a reported or estimated measure, and its value depends on the source and reporting basis. Guinness records the Boxscore-reported total; Pollstar’s figure, as described by AP, incorporates several inputs, including estimates and historical venue data. The available reports do not reconcile the two methodologies into a single figure.
Guinness also records 10,168,008 tickets sold and an average attendance of 68,242 per show for the Eras Tour. These are distinct measures from gross revenue; neither ticket count nor average attendance can be used as a substitute for the tour’s dollar total. Guinness World Records’ Eras Tour record

What other recent tour totals are established?
Recent reporting identifies major grosses for Coldplay and The Weeknd, but it does not establish a complete, consistently sourced current ranking beneath Swift. The reported amounts are useful comparisons, not a definitive second- and third-place all-time list.
| Tour | Reported gross | Source and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Taylor Swift, The Eras Tour | $2,077,618,725 | Guinness World Records, 2024; attributed to Billboard Boxscore figures, 149 shows from March 17, 2023, to December 8, 2024. Source |
| Taylor Swift, The Eras Tour | Approximately $2.2 billion | Pollstar estimate reported by AP in December 2024; the 149-show run. Source |
| Coldplay, Music of the Spheres | $1.39 billion | Pollstar figure reported by AP in 2025; cumulative gross for the tour running from 2022 through 2025. Source |
| The Weeknd, After Hours ’Til Dawn | More than $1 billion | Live Nation figure reported by AP in 2025; AP says the tour officially crossed the mark, but the report does not give an exact cumulative gross. Source |
These figures come from different publishers and reporting bases. The Coldplay amount is a Pollstar figure relayed by AP, while the Weeknd item is a Live Nation milestone reported by AP; the latter is a threshold, not an exact total. AP’s 2025 coverage distinguishes Coldplay’s lead in Pollstar’s ticket-sales ranking for the millennium from Swift’s all-time gross record. Why a current concert-tour chart may not be an all-time ranking
A chart labelled “Top Global Concert Tours” may cover a particular reporting period and rank by a different measure. In AP’s October 2026 reproduction of Pollstar’s Top 20 Global Concert Tours, artists are ranked using average box-office gross per city and average ticket price, based on information supplied by promoters and venue managers. That is a period chart, not a lifetime-gross list. AP’s October 2026 reproduction of Pollstar’s chart
Accordingly, the strongest supported conclusion is the record-holder, not a complete all-time order for every tour below it. Older lists may reflect tours before they finished or figures gathered on different bases. Guinness also notes that records can change and may not be posted online immediately. Guinness World Records
