The reunion followed a trademark dispute. The Associated Press reported that a September 2024 settlement gave Bachman and Cummings the trademark, after a dispute with former bandmates who had used The Guess Who name. That is AP’s account of the settlement, not a substitute for the settlement document or a legal interpretation. The Associated Press report by Mark Kennedy

What Bachman and Cummings said about the reunion
In AP’s March 3, 2026 report, Cummings described the reception as “this incredible welcome back feeling.” He said, “Now we can go out and honor the songs. We’re going out to honor the music.” Bachman framed the appeal in terms of live rock: “The people want to see you playing real rock. They want to hear a mistake. They want to see a string break.” Read AP’s interview and tour report
AP reported that the pair planned a set of about 20 songs, centered on hits and played as on the records. That was an advance description of their plan; it does not establish that every show had the same setlist. The reviewed sources do not provide a verified attendance, ticket-sales or audience figure for the tour.

What the tour’s return means
The 2026 trek reunited Bachman and Cummings under the name and put their hit catalog at the center of the performances. Its significance also rests on the resolution of the name dispute, as AP reported it, and on the artists’ stated aim to honor the songs onstage. The announced run is now a past itinerary, rather than a list of upcoming shows.
