The Independent published these estimated net-worth figures in 2021. They compare the six principal cast members using one publication’s estimates, not audited financial disclosures.

Why published rankings can differ
These numbers should be read as estimates attributed to a publisher and a date, not as a definitive balance sheet. A later DocumentaryTube ranking put Aniston at an estimated $320 million, rather than the $300 million in The Independent’s 2021 list. That difference illustrates why it is misleading to present an online figure as a settled current total.
Celebrity Net Worth separately lists Aniston at $300 million, Cox at $150 million, Kudrow at $90 million and LeBlanc at $80 million in its article about Friends salaries and royalties. Its estimate that the series generated $5.55 billion concerns the show’s revenue across syndication, international licensing and streaming; it does not establish how much any actor received or still holds.
What salaries and residuals do—and do not—show
Pay from Friends and later residual income help explain the series’ financial significance, but neither is equivalent to personal net worth. Net worth reflects a person’s assets and liabilities across their finances, not gross earnings from a single show.
In an April 2026 report, The Daily Beast attributed an approximately $20 million annual residual-payment figure to Lisa Kudrow and said the other surviving principal actors received similar residuals. This is reported residual income, not a verified current payment record or a measure of anyone’s net worth. Matthew Perry died in 2023, so the report’s reference to surviving costars should not be taken to mean he currently receives personal residual payments.
