What Kaley Cuoco said about the ending
Cuoco, the show’s star and an executive producer, said: “I always envisioned TFA as a limited series and thanks to an incredible creative team, we were able to deliver two thrilling seasons.” Her words describe her own vision for the series; they should not be read as an official explanation from Max or as evidence that ratings caused the ending.
How the series reached two seasons
The Flight Attendant premiered in November 2020. HBO Max announced its second-season renewal on December 18, 2020, describing the next installment as a new adventure for Cassie Bowden. The announcement called the first season the platform’s “#1 series overall during its run,” but supplied no audience figures or methodology for that claim. What the series is about
The dark comedic thriller is based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name. Its central character, flight attendant Cassie Bowden, wakes in a hotel room beside a dead man with no memory of what happened. Warner Bros. Discovery’s official series synopsis describes the premise.
