The Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse announced a 20-date U.S. co-headlining tour on March 25, 2025. The scheduled run began August 1 in Atlanta and ended September 11 in Troutdale, Oregon; those dates have passed. The itinerary also named Friko or Dehd as support on select dates.
What the 2025 tour announcement said
Rhino’s March 25, 2025 announcement described a co-headline U.S. run by The Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse, with 20 dates listed from August 1 through September 11. The itinerary included outdoor venues as well as indoor halls, so the announcement’s general description of outdoor theaters does not apply to every stop.

Announcement and ticket-sale timing
The original announcement set artist presales to begin March 26, 2025, and general sales for Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time. Those sale dates are historical; the announced performances are in the past.
Contemporaneous coverage by Pitchfork also reported the tour announcement. Neither that report nor the official release provides ticket prices, show times, seating details or accessibility information.
What the announcement did—and did not—establish
The release placed the tour alongside anniversary activity: The Flaming Lips’ expanded edition connected with the 20th anniversary of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, and Modest Mouse had completed a 2024 tour marking 20 years of Good News for People Who Love Bad News. That context does not make the co-headlining run an anniversary tour.
The itinerary establishes the dates and venues as scheduled, not that every performance ultimately happened as planned. The announced material does not provide final attendance, box-office totals, cancellations or show-by-show outcomes. The bands’ current tour page does not provide a readable dated itinerary for this 2025 run.
Official 2025 tour memorabilia
Modest Mouse’s official 2025 Tour Collection lists co-branded tour T-shirts and posters, including the “Modest Mouse x Flaming Lips 2025 Graphite Tour Tee.” The listing establishes official memorabilia, but does not establish current stock, pricing or availability through other retailers.
