The principal cast of The Equalizer Season 4 is led by Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall, with Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira, Laya DeLeon Hayes and Lorraine Toussaint in the featured roles. How the characters connect
CBS describes the series as a reimagining of the classic series, and its official synopsis sets up the premise that ties the ensemble together: “Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background, uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn.” To most people, she is a single mother raising her teenage daughter. To a trusted few, she is an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden.
That double life is what gives each cast member a role. Delilah and Aunt Vi keep McCall’s home life on screen, while Harry, Mel and Detective Dante represent the people who either work with her or sit close enough to her cases to be affected by them. Season 4 summaries use these relationships to drive the episode stories, so the cast list is most useful when read alongside the episode guide below.

CBS’s episode summaries name a few guest characters. They are examples drawn from episode descriptions, not a complete guest cast list, so check the CBS episode guide for any other appearance you are looking for.
- J.J., a former gambling addict, in “All Bets Are Off,” played by guest star Mike Epps.
- Big Ben, identified in “Condemned” as Danny Johnson. The summary does not name the performer.
- Michelle Chambers, McCall’s former CIA colleague, in “Truth for a Truth.” The episode summary does not name the performer.
