Disney’s newest park experiences span attractions that opened in 2026, entertainment planned for 2027, and larger projects still in development. Near-term highlights include Soarin’ Across America, a new Mandalorian and Grogu mission on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and updated figures in Frozen Ever After. Beyond those, Disney has announced major lands and attractions at parks around the world—but many do not yet have opening dates.
New Disney park experiences scheduled for 2026
Disney’s 2026 calendars and announcements named several new or refreshed experiences. The published target dates below have passed as of October 7, 2026; check the relevant live park calendar for current operating status rather than treating an announced date as proof that an attraction is open.

2026 festivals, tours, and seasonal offerings
Not every new item on a park calendar is a permanent attraction. These experiences have limited dates or availability, so they belong in trip planning rather than a list of year-round rides.

Major attractions and lands coming later
Several of Disney’s largest projects are announced without firm opening dates. Their locations and concepts are established in Disney’s updates, but a project described as planned or in development should not be read as having a confirmed opening year.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to read Disney’s opening dates
The announcements use different levels of certainty. A calendar date, a target season, a target year, and an undated concept are not interchangeable.
- Published date: Disney named a specific date for the 2026 Soarin’ Across America openings and the Smugglers Run mission. Because those dates have passed, check the live park calendar before making plans.
- Season or month: A season or month indicates a target window, not necessarily a day-by-day schedule or confirmation of current operation.
- Target year: The 2028 timing for the two Avengers Campus attractions is more specific than an undated project, but Disney’s announcement still describes plans rather than a guarantee.
- No opening date: For projects such as the Tropical Americas area, the Paris Lion King attraction, and Tokyo Disneyland’s announced additions, Disney’s reviewed announcements provide no date. Avoid relying on speculative timelines.
For a trip, identify the park and resort first, then use its live attraction and entertainment listings for operating status, showtimes, and reservations. A global announcement can cover projects at several resorts without meaning that they open together.
