She also acknowledged the move worked: “End of the story is, she played a better game.” Heather’s comments came in a September 20, 2024 interview with Parade.
Why “Andy” and Andy Glass are different
Heather entered the Netflix reality competition using her friend Andy Glass’s identity. In the game, “Andy” referred to Heather’s catfish persona; Andy Glass was the real person whose profile she portrayed. Heather said he helped her prepare by talking through details including his tattoos and Detroit background.
That distinction matters to the story: Madelyn’s strategy targeted Heather while she was playing as Andy, not Andy Glass as a contestant.
What Heather said Madelyn did
According to Parade’s account of the season, Heather became an influencer early in the game, later fell in the ratings and was blocked in last place. The report says Madelyn helped organize a groupwide effort against Andy, Heather’s in-game identity. Heather visited Madelyn after her blocking without knowing Madelyn’s role in the plan.

Heather said she learned about the plan shortly before the episodes aired. Watching them revealed the strategy she had not seen while playing: “I genuinely had zero clue. I had zero clue what was happening behind the scenes.” Her surprise was tied to believing she and Madelyn had formed a genuine connection and to meeting Madelyn face-to-face before she knew what had happened in the game.
This is Heather’s retrospective account of the episodes and her experience; it does not independently establish every player’s private motive.

Heather’s reaction to the betrayal
Heather described the move as painful, but she did not present the aftermath as lasting hostility. She said the cast had agreed to support one another after filming and described herself and Madelyn as “cool.” She also recognized the effectiveness of Madelyn’s play, saying she had played a better game.
Did Heather introduce Madelyn to the real Andy?
No—not by the date of the Parade interview. Andy Glass joined briefly during the interview, and Heather said she had not set him up with Madelyn. She left any contact between the two to them. That answer describes the situation as Heather reported it in September 2024, not their current relationship.
