The “blessed” wording in the headline comes from a prayer-focused update. The Come and See Foundation’s 2026 prayer guide says filming had “now wrapped,” but it does not give a wrap date or describe a specific blessing or ceremony. The details below separate what is confirmed from what is not.
Where Season 6 production stands
The Come and See Foundation’s 2026 prayer guide states that Season 6 filming had “now wrapped” at the time it was written. The guide also points readers to the Season 6 section of The Chosen app, where production-related prayer updates are posted. It does not say when the final shooting day took place, so no wrap date should be assumed.
Premiere date and release schedule
5&2 Studios and Prime Video announced the premiere on April 3, 2026. The six-episode season is staggered across several weeks, as shown below.

The announcement lists Prime Video availability in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, the United Kingdom, and Latin America. Viewers in other territories should check their local Prime Video listings before the premiere, because the announcement does not address them.
What Season 6 covers
The official Season 6 page describes the season as covering the historic events of Jesus’ final day and the events leading to the crucifixion. The April 3 announcement frames the season around “the extraordinary events of these 24 hours.”

Dallas Jenkins, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of 5&2 Studios and creator and executive producer of The Chosen, explained the focus in that announcement: “Everyone knows the basics of this part of the story, but not everyone knows the ‘why’ of the crucifixion and the extraordinary events of these 24 hours.”
On historical detail, art director B. J. Forman told KSL that the production draws on “the history books, online and through archaeology” and tries “to bring to the show as authentic as we can.” KSL’s report is dated June 2026 and concerns the series’ production in general, not a specific Season 6 setting.

The theatrical finale in spring 2027
Season 6 is the first season whose ending is planned as a theatrical event. Jenkins said in the April 3 announcement: “We realized this not only deserved a season of television but a standalone full-length theatrical event as well. We wrote and filmed all of it with this in mind.”
The announcement gives spring 2027 as the target window. It does not name release dates, cities, or distributors for the theatrical run, so those details should be treated as unannounced.

Season 6 and Season 7 are different productions
Season 6 and the next season are easy to confuse, so the distinction matters for reading news coverage.

The Chosen app is the other official viewing option named in the official material. The sources do not establish any additional streaming platform for Season 6.
Is Season 6 available on DVD or Blu-ray?
