Danny DeVito tops a January 2024 ranking of the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia cast, with a reported estimate of $80 million. Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson are listed at $50 million each, followed by Charlie Day at $30 million and Glenn Howerton at $25 million. These are publisher estimates, not verified disclosures of the actors’ finances—and the $50 million figure for McElhenney is described elsewhere as combined with Olson.
The cast ranked by reported net worth
The figures below are from Just Jared’s ranking, published January 17, 2024, which says it used estimates from Celebrity Net Worth. The order and amounts should be read as that publisher’s comparison, not as audited or independently confirmed personal balance sheets.
| Rank in Just Jared’s 2024 list | Cast member | Character | Reported estimate | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Danny DeVito | Frank Reynolds | $80 million | Publisher estimate; his exact Sunny salary has not been publicly disclosed, according to Celebrity Net Worth. |
| 2 (tie) | Rob McElhenney | Mac | $50 million | Celebrity Net Worth describes this figure as combined with Kaitlin Olson. |
| 2 (tie) | Kaitlin Olson | Dee Reynolds | $50 million | Reported by Just Jared; not a separately verified personal balance sheet. |
| 4 | Charlie Day | Charlie Kelly | $30 million | Publisher estimate. |
| 5 | Glenn Howerton | Dennis Reynolds | $25 million | Publisher estimate. |
Why the $50 million tie needs context
Just Jared lists McElhenney and Olson at $50 million apiece, but Celebrity Net Worth’s Rob McElhenney profile calls its $50 million figure a combined net worth with Olson. That means the ranking’s apparent individual tie should not be treated as proof that each has a separately established $50 million fortune.
What the figures do—and do not—tell you
Celebrity Net Worth says its figures are estimates unless otherwise indicated, based on public sources and, when provided, private tips and feedback from celebrities or their representatives. That is the site’s own methodology statement, not an independent audit. Its Glenn Howerton profile includes that qualification.
