Watch Gen V season 1 after The Boys season 3
The Boys establishes Vought, Homelander, and the vigilantes trying to expose a corrupt superhero system. Sony’s series description introduces that central conflict. Gen V shifts the focus to students at Godolkin University while expanding the same world, making it a natural follow-up to the first three seasons.
Watch The Boys season 4 before Gen V season 2
The recommended sequence places the second Gen V season after The Boys season 4. This lets you follow the main-series developments before returning to Godolkin.

Save The Boys season 5 for last
The Boys season 5 is the final season, according to Sony’s official series page. Popverse’s watch-order guide, published February 27, 2026, reports that it began streaming April 8, 2026, with a finale date of May 20, 2026. Those exact schedule dates are reported by Popverse.
Is The Boys Presents: Diabolical necessary?
No. The Boys Presents: Diabolical is an animated anthology set in the franchise’s world, but it is not needed to follow the live-action order above. Popverse’s guide says only three episodes are considered canon to the main show and most are outside its timeline; treat that as the guide’s account, not as a studio-published episode-by-episode chronology. Amazon lists the anthology alongside the live-action titles on its franchise page.
