There is no reliable all-time ranking of the best TikTok singers and songwriters: platform views measure attention, not vocal ability or songwriting craft. This curated guide highlights artists TikTok has recently recognized, songs with documented platform momentum, and writers whose credits are named in TikTok’s reporting. The order is editorial, not a TikTok ranking.
How to read this list
TikTok’s newest platform-wide recognition, published in September 2026, covers the summer—not the full year. Its September report named Slayyyter Emerging Artist of the Summer, Zara Larsson for Outstanding Contribution to the Summer, and CORTIS Boyband of the Summer; Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” was its global Song of the Summer. TikTok’s 2025 year-end report and artist profiles add useful examples, but their figures belong to the periods when those reports were published.
The entries below are grouped by the kind of evidence available: recent breakouts, artists with songwriter credits or original-song momentum, and established acts or groups. Engagement figures are TikTok-reported platform measures, not independent assessments of musical quality. TikTok’s 2025 summer list, for example, was ranked using creations and video views during that summer period.
Recent breakouts to hear
Slayyyter
TikTok named Slayyyter its Emerging Artist of the Summer in 2026. Its September report points to fan-made videos and “DANCE…” as part of how she reached new audiences. That makes her the clearest recent discovery pick in this guide, while the award remains TikTok’s own seasonal recognition rather than a critical ranking. Start with “DANCE…”. #1 Best Overall
SIENNA SPIRO
TikTok’s artist profile follows SIENNA SPIRO’s momentum from “MAYBE.” and “You Stole the Show” to “Die On This Hill.” In the profile’s publication context, TikTok reported that “Die On This Hill” generated more than 6 million creations and 16 billion video views; it also reported more than 385 million Spotify streams and a peak of No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100. Those are time-specific figures reported by TikTok, not current live totals. The profile also says her headline tour sold out across North America, the UK, and Europe. Hear “Die On This Hill” first. Bella Kay
TikTok’s August 2026 profile traces how early song teasers and fan videos helped Bella Kay’s music find an audience. It reported more than 3 million creations for “The Sick,” more than 6 million for “iloveitiloveitiloveit,” and more than 4.17 million for “Steady”; the profile also put her TikTok following above 1.1 million at that time. Try “The Sick” and “Steady” alongside the viral track. TikTok’s Bella Kay profile.

Songwriters and original-song breakouts
EJAE
EJAE is a strong starting point for readers looking beyond performers who post covers or snippets. TikTok named her its 2025 Songwriter of the Year and describes her as a New York City-based songwriter, vocalist, and artist. The year-end report says she co-wrote songs for the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, including “Golden.” TikTok reported that “Golden” generated 9.8 million creations and 23.6 billion video views in 2025. Listen to “Golden” with her songwriter credit in mind; the recognition does not imply songwriting is her only role. TikTok’s 2025 year-end music report.
sombr
For a documented original-song breakout, try sombr’s “back to friends.” TikTok’s 2025 year-end report named it the platform’s global most-saved track and reported more than 7.7 million creations and 21.7 billion video views that year. The same report said the track had passed 1.1 billion Spotify streams by publication and marked sombr’s first US Billboard Hot 100 entry. These are distinct indicators of reach, not a rating of the song’s craft. TikTok’s 2025 year-end music report.

- Neil Diamond's 1980 screen turn as a charismatic singer torn between Jewish tradition and pop music stardom spawned this phenomenally successful soundtrack album -- six million copies and counting
Ravyn Lenae
TikTok’s 2025 summer coverage presents Chicago R&B singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae and links “Love Me Not” to a platform trend and her Billboard Hot 100 debut. It is a useful entry point to her work and an example of TikTok’s account of a song gathering momentum there; it does not establish that the app alone caused her broader career. Start with “Love Me Not.” TikTok’s 2025 summer report.
Jin Jin
Songwriting can be a behind-the-scenes contribution, not just an artist’s own viral performance. TikTok’s 2025 summer report identifies Jin Jin as a co-writer of Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand.” That credit is a concrete reason to include her in a guide to TikTok songwriters, even though it is not evidence that the song was written or first released on TikTok. TikTok’s 2025 summer report.
Alex Warren
TikTok’s 2025 summer report describes Alex Warren as a singer-songwriter and says “Ordinary” topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for ten consecutive weeks. The chart run is evidence of a major hit, not a measurement of singing or songwriting skill. Hear “Ordinary” as a starting point. TikTok’s 2025 summer report.

KATSEYE
TikTok named KATSEYE Global Artist of the Year in its 2025 year-end report. It reported that the group’s music generated 30 billion views and 12 million creations on TikTok in 2025. Those figures describe platform activity for that year; they do not compare the group’s vocal or songwriting ability with the individual artists above. TikTok’s 2025 year-end music report.

Zara Larsson and CORTIS
TikTok’s September 2026 summer report recognized Zara Larsson for Outstanding Contribution to the Summer and named CORTIS Boyband of the Summer. These honors broaden the list beyond emerging solo singer-songwriters: Zara is an established artist recognized for her summer impact, while CORTIS is included as a group. The report’s awards are seasonal platform honors, not year-end or all-time rankings. TikTok’s September 2026 summer report.
Why a catalog song can make a new discovery
TikTok attention does not always point to a newly released track. Its 2025 year-end report said Connie Francis’s 1962 song “Pretty Little Baby” received 28.4 million uses and 68.6 billion views on TikTok in 2025. TikTok also reported that the song later became her most-streamed Spotify track, with more than 130 million streams at the time of reporting. That is a striking case of a catalog revival, not a contemporary singer-songwriter breakthrough. The 2026 summer report likewise named Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” Song of the Summer and reported more than 42 million videos and 55 billion video views using the track during summer 2026.
