For viewers in the US, February 2026 brought several worthwhile films to Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video, and Hulu. The strongest picks range from a contained music-world drama to an independent animated film, a RoboCop franchise marathon, and a new Predator adventure. These are historical arrivals, not a guide to what is streaming now: catalog availability can change by region and over time.
Netflix: Blue Moon (February 14)
The Wrap’s February selection is Blue Moon, a drama starring Ethan Hawke and directed by Richard Linklater. It centers on lyricist Lorenz Hart on the opening night of Oklahoma!, giving the story a focused setting and a close look at a creative life at a turning point. Choose it for character-driven drama and a music-theater backdrop rather than a broad biographical sweep. The Wrap listed it for Netflix on February 14.
HBO Max: Boys Go to Jupiter (February 6)
For animation outside the usual franchise lane, Boys Go to Jupiter is the distinctive pick. The Wrap included the animated feature among HBO Max’s February arrivals, listing February 6. Its appeal here is the chance to try an independent animated film rather than defaulting to familiar studio characters; that is an editorial recommendation, not a claim about consensus ratings. The Wrap’s curated guide has the date and platform listing.
Prime Video: the RoboCop films (February 1)
Prime Video’s most useful choice for a movie night with room to compare is the RoboCop franchise. The February additions included the 1987 original, RoboCop 2, RoboCop 3, and the 2014 remake. Start with the original if you want the point of comparison, then decide whether to continue into the sequels and remake. Boston.com’s February calendar lists all four films for Prime Video; The Wrap also highlighted the franchise’s February 1 arrival.

Prime Video originals arriving later in the month
If you would rather watch a new Prime Video original than revisit a library title, Amazon’s February lineup also included The Bluff on February 25 and Man on the Run on February 27. They broaden the month’s options, though the available schedule information does not establish either as a stronger recommendation than the curated picks above. Amazon’s February lineup article provides the dates and descriptions.
Hulu: Predator: Badlands (February 12)
For action and science fiction, The Wrap picked Predator: Badlands, listing it for Hulu on February 12. Dan Trachtenberg’s entry shifts attention to Predator character Dek on a hostile alien world, alongside the android Thia. It is a good fit if you want a new franchise installment built around an unfamiliar setting and character dynamic. The Wrap’s guide gives the Hulu date and its description of the film.

Other Hulu arrivals to consider
Hulu’s official February schedule also lists Splitsville (February 6), Urchin (February 17), and Kiss of the Spider Woman (February 27). These dates make them alternatives if the month’s highlighted sci-fi or franchise picks are not what you want; a schedule entry alone is not a comparative verdict on quality. Hulu’s official schedule includes the February arrivals and removals.
