The standout looks at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 ranged from Paolo Carzana’s delicate, naturally dyed organza to Chopova Lowena’s exuberant rodeo-inspired costumes. What were the best looks at London Fashion Week SS25?
The strongest collections offered very different answers to what a memorable spring/summer look can be: a quiet play of texture and color, a functional sporty outfit, or a garment built around craft and historical reference. These selections make that range easier to see.
Paolo Carzana: organza shaped by color and setting
In a garden presentation in Hackney, models walked barefoot among trees in delicate layers of silk organza dyed naturally in blue, brown, pink and yellow. British Vogue’s editors highlighted how the setting and the fabric’s lightness worked together; the clothes were as much about atmosphere as silhouette. Tove: tonal dressing with a flash of color
Tove offered a quieter counterpoint to theatrical runway work: tonal pieces and minimal accessories, enlivened by mesh, texture, sequins and occasional bright orange or blue. The appeal was in the balance between wearable separates and distinctive surface details. British Vogue’s highlights describe the collection.

Talia Byre: familiar sportswear, playful materials
British Vogue’s editor wish list picked out a fuzzy shearling miniskirt, an exaggerated-shoulder bomber, a suede barrel bag and a “disco rugby top.” Together, those pieces mix tactile, playful materials with recognizable outerwear and sportswear cues.
Johanna Parv: sporty pieces designed for movement
Breathable signature fabrics, lime green and lilac, wide elastic headbands, bike shorts and second-skin zip-up tops gave Johanna Parv’s collection a functional, energetic quality. Parv described the show as “fresh, clean, bright and energetic,” as reported by British Vogue.

Tolu Coker: clothes around the shared living room
Tolu Coker’s NewGen presentation treated the living room as a place of social connection and shelter for immigrant and working-class communities. The cited looks included corseted denim jackets, ra-ra skirts, striped short suits and draped waistcoats. British Vogue’s editor picks place those garments within that setting.
SS Daley: craft and a first womenswear collection
SS Daley presented its first womenswear collection with a craft-led approach and an age- and size-diverse cast. The Guardian connected the work to artist Gluck and noted dog-motif knitwear and high-waisted suiting. JW Anderson: mini silhouettes and a leather tutu
JW Anderson kept its material palette focused on cashmere knit, leather, silk and sequins, then used it for mini silhouettes including a circular leather tutu skirt. Simone Rocha: tulle, flowers and tailored black
Fashionista’s selection emphasized the contrast between tulle and flowers and closely tailored black looks. Erdem: blurred codes and a literary reference
Erdem’s collection referenced Radclyffe Hall’s The Well of Loneliness. The Guardian described slouchy men’s cardigans and blazers layered over tea dresses, alongside 1920s drop-waisted silhouettes—a mix that unsettled straightforward divisions between traditional menswear and womenswear. Chopova Lowena: rodeo and showgirl spectacle
Chopova Lowena’s “Chukaboo” collection combined rodeo and showgirl references with Olympic gymnastics costumes. The Guardian’s report notes denim, studs, spurs, protective leather, puff sleeves, ruffles and corsetry. Its Margaret bag, made with Hellmann’s, was designed to carry a pot of mayonnaise. Rather than one uniform trend, the selected looks show several distinct directions. These are observations about the collections highlighted here, not claims that every designer or show followed them.
- Texture made simple shapes distinctive: organza, mesh, shearling, suede, sequins and tulle each changed how a familiar piece read.
- Sporting references split in two: Johanna Parv used breathable, body-conscious separates for a functional feel, while Talia Byre turned rugby cues into playful eveningwear.
- Tailoring crossed conventional categories: Erdem layered cardigans and blazers over tea dresses, while SS Daley used high-waisted suiting in a collection that expanded into womenswear.
- Historical and artistic references were made tangible: Gluck informed SS Daley’s craft-led presentation; Radclyffe Hall’s novel informed Erdem; and Chopova Lowena mixed rodeo, showgirl and gymnastics references.
- Wearability and theatre coexisted: Tove’s tonal separates sat at one end of the range, while Chopova Lowena’s embellished costumes and Harris Reed’s upholstery crinolines occupied a more theatrical register.
When was London Fashion Week SS25?
London Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2025 edition ran from Thursday 12 September to Tuesday 17 September 2024, according to the official schedule and British Vogue’s preview. Vogue noted that 2024 marked 40 years since the first London Fashion Week event and that the schedule combined emerging designers with established labels.
