During The Bachelor season 29, Rose Sombke was listed as 27 and a registered nurse from Chicago, Illinois. Cast guides gave her Instagram handle as @rosesombke. She later said she had quit her nursing job, and she left the competition during week four.
How old was Rose Sombke on The Bachelor?
Season 29 cast guides listed Sombke as 27 during the show’s 2025 season. That is a season-era age, not a confirmed current age: the guides do not provide a birth date. Cosmopolitan’s contestant guide and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s cast guide both give the age.
What did Rose Sombke do for a living?
Her occupation in the season cast listings was registered nurse. In May 2025, Sombke said she had quit that job. That update does not establish what work, if any, she took on afterward.
Responding to speculation that she had left work to join Bachelor in Paradise, she said, “I quit my job ‘cause I wanted to. Not ’cause I’m going on Paradise,” according to Us Weekly’s May 5, 2025 report. The same report said she had described disliking parts of the nursing schedule, including working every other weekend and missing events.

The season cast guides listed her Instagram handle as @rosesombke. This is the handle reported in coverage of the season, rather than confirmation that the account remains active or unchanged.
How far did Rose Sombke get on season 29?
Sombke left the competition in week four, during the episode that aired February 17, 2025. Later coverage described her exit as a self-elimination. Yahoo Entertainment’s February 20 report covered the departure after the episode aired; Us Weekly also reported that she opted to leave after tension involving contestant Carolina. An earlier Bustle article published February 3 discussed the departure as a reported spoiler, so it should be distinguished from the later accounts of what happened on air.
