Kyou-u devises an escape plan, but the guards discover it. Suirei attempts to mediate. Shenmei considers torture, then Maomao angers her with her words and is sent to the torture room. These are the preview-supported developments; they establish the danger Maomao faces, but should not be mistaken for a complete account of the episode’s events.

Jinshi’s response raises the stakes beyond Maomao’s captivity
Alongside Maomao’s immediate peril, Anime.com’s short summary describes Jinshi taking the lead as imperial brother and Crown Prince, with the forbidden army moving against the Shi clan in retaliation for its rebellion. The two threads put personal survival beside a wider political and military conflict.
Anime.com frames whether Jinshi will reveal his true status as an open question. Its summary does not establish that he does so, so that point should not be treated as a resolved episode outcome.
