The report’s public summary does not provide scores, survey wording or sample size, so this is best read as the ranking reported at the time—not a complete or independently reproducible measure of what all viewers anticipated.
The five new shows in the reported ranking
TheWrap summarized the Whip Watch Report on October 30, 2024. Its list covers new shows and gives their scheduled U.S. premiere dates and outlets as reported then. Those are historical premiere details, not confirmation of current streaming availability.
| Reported rank | Show | Scheduled U.S. premiere | Outlet in the October 2024 report |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Dune: Prophecy | November 17, 2024 | HBO |
| 2 | St. Denis Medical | November 12, 2024 | NBC |
| 3 | Cross | November 14, 2024 | Prime Video |
| 4 | Landman | November 17, 2024 | Paramount+ |
| 5 | The Day of the Jackal | November 14, 2024 | Peacock |
1. Dune: Prophecy
The Whip-reported list placed this HBO series first. Rotten Tomatoes also put it at the top of its separate November anticipation list. That list identifies Sisterhood of Dune as source material; this establishes a connection to the book, not a promise that the series follows it scene by scene.
2. St. Denis Medical
NBC’s comedy ranked second in the reported Whip list, with a scheduled U.S. premiere of November 12, 2024.

Why the evidence supports five ranked new shows, not ten
The October 30, 2024 summary of Whip Media’s report names five new shows. It does not publish the underlying scores, survey wording or sample size, and the public summary is not enough to reconstruct or extend the order. Calling additional titles numbers six through ten in the same ranking would imply evidence that is not available in that summary.
Rank #3

Rotten Tomatoes published a different November anticipation list, later updated January 21, 2025. It combines new and returning programs: its first three are Dune: Prophecy, Arcane season 2 and Yellowstone season 5 part 2, followed by The Agency and Silo season 2. Only Dune: Prophecy is a new series. Rotten Tomatoes says its top three received most of the votes and that the last two were close, but does not give vote totals. This is a useful separate signal, not five more positions in a new-show ranking.
A ten-title roundup could add separately labeled editorial picks from fall-preview coverage, but that would mix an editorial selection with the reported ranking. TIME’s preview, for example, includes November debuts such as A Man on the Inside, Say Nothing, Interior Chinatown and Senna; it is not a comparable numeric audience ranking.

Anticipation is not the same as viewing performance
Nielsen reported that streaming accounted for 41.6% of U.S. TV viewing during its November 2024 measurement interval, October 28 through November 24. That figure describes realized television use across the interval, which was materially influenced by sports, the U.S. presidential election and live streaming. It does not measure anticipation for the five shows above.
Nielsen’s 2024 year-end ARTEY review later reported total viewing minutes for streaming programs, including 4.90 billion minutes for Nobody Wants This and 2.94 billion for A Man on the Inside among new comedy series. Those are post-release 2024 viewing totals reported by Nielsen in 2025; they cannot validate a pre-release November anticipation order. Anticipation lists, vote totals and viewing minutes answer different questions.
