1. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Best for: fake-dating chemistry, gentle humor, comfort watching, and a complete trilogy.
Lara Jean Covey writes private love letters to the boys she has loved, then keeps them safely hidden. Her carefully controlled fantasy life collapses when the letters are mysteriously mailed, forcing her to confront the people she has only admired from a distance. The resulting fake-dating arrangement gives the film its familiar rom-com engine, while Lara Jean’s family life and uncertainty about growing up give it more emotional grounding than the premise initially suggests.
This is the strongest all-around starting point because it is warm without being empty, funny without relying entirely on embarrassment, and romantic without demanding that viewers accept a bleak or especially complicated mood. It is also the first film in a trilogy, so it offers an easy binge path: To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You followed by To All the Boys: Always and Forever.
Want to compare the adaptation with its source? Jenny Han’s YA novel is the book that inspired the movie. You do not need to read it to enjoy the film, but it is a natural next step if Lara Jean’s story works for you.

Best for: thoughtful viewers who want friendship, identity, restraint, and an unconventional love triangle.
Ellie Chu agrees to help a popular student write romantic messages to the girl he likes. The complication is that Ellie also develops feelings for the same girl. Rather than turning the situation into a conventional competition, the film uses its triangle to explore loneliness, intellectual connection, sexual identity, and the difference between loving someone and being ready for a relationship.
The Half Of It is quieter and more emotionally reflective than the list’s broadest high-school comedies. Its romance is important, but so are friendship and the process of understanding yourself. Choose it when you want a teen romance with more ambiguity and emotional aftertaste than a straightforward happily-ever-after.
3. The Fault in Our Stars
Best for: an openly emotional young-love drama.
Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters meet through a cancer support group and form a relationship shaped by illness, fear, humor, and the desire to live meaningfully in the time they have. The film is designed to be a tearjerker, but its appeal is not limited to sadness: the central romance is affectionate, verbally playful, and serious about the way young people can fall in love while facing circumstances far beyond their control.
This is the heaviest selection in the ranking. It is a poor choice for a light comfort watch, but a strong one if you want a romance that puts vulnerability and mortality at the center rather than treating them as background complications.

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)

Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.

4. To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You
Best for: viewers who want the next chapter of Lara Jean and Peter’s relationship.
The second film brings another of Lara Jean’s old love letters into the present when John Ambrose, one of its recipients, re-enters her life. Lara Jean now has to deal with genuine feelings for two people instead of an imaginary crush on several people, and the story shifts from the first film’s exhilarating discovery of romance to the less tidy work of maintaining one.
It is best watched directly after To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. As a standalone, its emotional stakes depend on the relationship established in the original; as a sequel, it supplies the romantic uncertainty and growing-up complications that naturally follow the first film’s premise.

Best for: high-energy chemistry, school dances, heightened drama, and broad rom-com entertainment.
Elle Evans has been best friends with Lee Flynn since childhood, but her feelings become more complicated when she develops a romance with Lee’s older brother, Noah. Their relationship threatens the rules that have governed Elle and Lee’s friendship, giving the film a second source of conflict beyond the central romance.
The Kissing Booth is deliberately glossy and melodramatic. It is not the pick for viewers looking for the most nuanced treatment of teenage relationships, but it works if you want fast-moving romantic tension, big feelings, school-event spectacle, and a premise that embraces the heightened logic of teen movies.
6. Love & Gelato
Best for: travel atmosphere, family discovery, and low-stress summer romance.
Lina spends a summer in Italy following a promise connected to her late mother and discovering more about her family’s past. Along the way, new surroundings, friendships, and romantic possibilities turn the trip into a coming-of-age experience.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
The movie’s strongest appeal is its easygoing combination of romance and place. It offers picturesque travel, family secrets, youthful feelings, and a lighter emotional temperature than the list’s more intense choices. Pick it when you want a sunny, escapist watch rather than a relationship story built around major heartbreak.
7. To All the Boys: Always and Forever
Best for: completing Lara Jean’s story and watching a romance face graduation-era decisions.
The trilogy’s final film moves Lara Jean and Peter into a new stage of life, where graduation, college plans, distance, and competing ideas about the future test the relationship. The conflict is less about whether they like each other and more about whether love can survive two people making major choices about adulthood.
Watch this only after the first two films. It is a satisfying franchise closer for viewers invested in Lara Jean’s family, friendships, and romance, but it is not designed to introduce the characters or explain their history to newcomers.
8. The Last Summer
Best for: multiple romances, summer atmosphere, and the uncertainty after high school.
This ensemble film follows several young people during the summer before they move into the next phase of their lives. Instead of building around one definitive couple, it interweaves different relationships, crushes, breakups, and attempts to decide what adulthood might look like.
The multi-story structure makes The Last Summer useful when you want variety rather than one central romance. Its transitional setting also gives it a recognizable coming-of-age tension: the characters still have the freedom and familiarity of school-age life, but the future is beginning to impose real choices.

9. Sierra Burgess Is a Loser
Best for: a flawed protagonist and a romance that invites discussion.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Sierra becomes involved in an online relationship through a deception involving someone else’s identity. The setup creates romantic complications, but it also raises uncomfortable questions about honesty, confidence, appearance, manipulation, and what someone is entitled to know before agreeing to a relationship.
This is a more complicated recommendation than the sweeter entries above. Its premise can be conversation-starting rather than comforting, and viewers may disagree about how the film handles its ethical problems. Choose it if you want a teen romance with an imperfect central character and enough questionable decisions to discuss afterward—not if you want an uncomplicated fantasy of young love.
10. Alex Strangelove
Best for: awkward humor, self-discovery, and identity-focused romance.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsAlex expects his high-school relationship and first sexual experience to follow a predictable path, but meeting Elliot makes him question what he wants and how he understands his own sexuality. The film uses comedy and social awkwardness to approach a deeply personal period of uncertainty.
Its central appeal is that romance is tied to identity rather than treated as a separate subplot. Alex’s journey is exploratory and uncomfortable in recognizable ways, making this a good choice for viewers who want a coming-of-age story about figuring yourself out before promising certainty to someone else.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.11. Let It Snow
Best for: holiday viewing, intersecting crushes, and a cozy ensemble.
A snowstorm brings several young characters together over one eventful night, while their romantic hopes and misunderstandings overlap. The film moves between multiple storylines instead of asking one couple to carry the entire movie, creating a lighter, seasonal collection of crushes and near-misses.
Let It Snow is the obvious pick when you want romance with a holiday setting. Its ensemble format makes it breezier than a single-couple drama, and the snowy atmosphere supplies much of the comfort-watch appeal. It is better suited to a festive group viewing than to someone seeking a deeply focused relationship study.

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
12. The Kissing Booth 2
Best for: continuing the franchise and embracing heightened relationship drama.
The sequel follows Elle as her relationship with Noah faces the strain of distance, new possibilities, and competing expectations. The first film’s friendship rules and romantic complications expand into a larger question: how do two people stay connected when school, geography, jealousy, and future plans begin pulling them in different directions?
The Kissing Booth 2 works best as part of a binge, not as an isolated movie. If you enjoy its heightened style, continue with The Kissing Booth 3, which serves as the franchise’s concluding follow-up. Viewers who prefer subtle or especially realistic romance may find the series’ emotional swings excessive; viewers looking for glossy teen melodrama will know exactly what they are getting.

What to know before choosing
These films do not all offer the same kind of romance. Some center a single couple, while The Last Summer and Let It Snow divide their attention among several stories. Some are intentionally escapist, while Sierra Burgess Is a Loser and Alex Strangelove invite more discussion about identity, honesty, and self-understanding. The ranking therefore reflects usefulness for different moods, not a claim that every movie is equally realistic or equally subtle.
