The tallest operating amusement-park rides in this ranking are steel roller coasters, led by Falcons Flight at Six Flags Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia. This snapshot, dated October 8, 2026, follows the Roller Coaster DataBase (RCDB) operating-coaster height list—not every kind of park attraction, and not a guarantee that a ride is open on a particular day. Falcons Flight’s height also depends on which source you consult: RCDB lists 534.8 feet, while the park gives a ride height of 195 meters.
How this ranking defines “tallest”
“Amusement park rides” can include drop towers, observation rides and other attractions, but this list covers operating steel roller coasters. It ranks the heights shown in RCDB’s operating-coaster results as accessed on October 8, 2026. View RCDB’s operating roller coasters sorted by height.
Height figures are reported values, not necessarily measurements taken on the same basis. A listed height might refer to a structure, a drop, an elevation change or a park’s own ride-height description. The differences matter most for Falcons Flight: RCDB lists 534.8 feet (about 163 meters), while the official Six Flags Qiddiya City page states a ride height of 195 meters. The sources do not establish that these figures use the same definition, so neither should be treated as a direct conversion of the other. See the park’s Falcons Flight page.

What to know before using the ranking
Falcons Flight has two published height figures
RCDB places Falcons Flight first at 534.8 feet, while Six Flags Qiddiya City describes its ride height as 195 meters. The available pages do not clarify the measurement definitions well enough to reconcile the difference. The park also calls it the world’s longest, tallest and fastest roller coaster; that is the park’s promotional description, not a like-for-like measurement comparison with the RCDB list.
“Operating” does not mean open today
RCDB’s operating filter is the basis for this snapshot, but its ranking is not a live park-operations calendar. Attractions can close temporarily, reopen or be surpassed. Confirm availability with the relevant park before travel.
Rank #2
- 546 ASSORTED PIECES –This K’NEX Education set includes 546 parts, plus a battery-powered motor, for a single child or a team of two to three children building a working roller coaster. Two additional models are also included in this set — a ramp and a half-pipe — which can be built one at a time. The set requires two AA batteries, which are not included.
- OFFERS HANDS-ON LEARNING – K’NEX Education models offer proactive opportunities for introducing children to scientific inquiry, investigation, and experimentation. Inquiry-based lessons challenge young learners as they build, investigate, problem-solve, discuss, and evaluate scientific and design principles in action.
- EXPERIMENT GUIDE – Once a ride is built, an activity booklet guides learners through three hands-on, inquiry-based experiments. This experiment guide aligns with the national STEM standards and is designed for grades 5‒9. Students will learn about the relationships between time, distance, speed, and more!
- PROMOTES TEAMWORK – This educational engineering set is more fun when constructed with friends. One to three kids can put their heads together and figure out the structure, exchanging ideas as they tinker with the bits and parts, and solving the model faster through teamwork. They’ll build camaraderie and develop social skills as they play.
- STEAMagination: It’s the connection of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) with a child’s natural curiosity and creativity and it powers the fun of each and every K’NEX building set. Building with K’NEX puts children on a path towards a fundamental understanding of STEAM/STEM subjects.
Older record lists may show a different coaster
Kingda Ka was a former height record-holder and may still appear in historical or all-status lists. That does not make it part of this operating-only top ten. Intamin’s record overview includes Kingda Ka among record-associated rides, while RCDB separates all-status results from its operating-only results. See Intamin’s world-record overview.
