As of October 8, 2026, the JustWatch U.S. TV chart puts East of Eden, Lanterns and Ted Lasso in its top three. The list measures activity such as offer clicks, watchlist additions and marks as seen—not total viewing minutes—so “biggest” here means most active on JustWatch, not objectively best or most watched. Availability below reflects the U.S. chart snapshot and can change.
The 10 biggest streaming shows in the U.S. right now
The rankings below are from JustWatch’s U.S. TV chart, last updated October 8, 2026 at 09:11 UTC. JustWatch says its charts draw on user activity over the previous 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, including clicks on streaming offers, watchlist additions and marks that a title has been seen. The chart is updated daily; JustWatch reports that its charts are powered by more than 50 million monthly users and cover 140 countries and 4,500 streaming services. Those figures describe the service’s reported reach, not the audience for any individual show. See the JustWatch U.S. TV chart and its chart methodology and coverage.

Why this list differs from a most-watched ranking
JustWatch measures activity around titles on its service. Nielsen’s U.S. Streaming TV Top 10 instead ranks programs by total minutes viewed by people aged 2 and older during a defined reporting week. The two charts answer different questions and need not put the same shows near the top.

Nielsen says its measure uses Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings and the Nielsen National TV Panel, covering U.S. viewing through television. What longer-term rankings add
A weekly chart can shift sharply, while a half-year ranking captures sustained viewing across a longer period. TVLine’s August 4, 2026 report of Nielsen’s December 29, 2025–June 28, 2026 figures puts Stranger Things first among original series, with 23.261 billion minutes, followed by The Pitt (21.118 billion), Bridgerton (17.148 billion), Landman (12.400 billion) and The Lincoln Lawyer (10.533 billion).
Among acquired series, Bluey led with 22.809 billion minutes, ahead of Grey’s Anatomy (20.414 billion), The Big Bang Theory (20.404 billion), SpongeBob SquarePants (16.894 billion) and Family Guy (15.957 billion). Across original and acquired shows combined, Stranger Things led with 23.261 billion minutes, just ahead of Bluey. These are first-half 2026 totals, not a current daily chart. Does “banger” mean these shows are the best?
No ranking here proves quality. JustWatch signals indicate audience interest and Nielsen’s figures indicate viewing volume under its stated measurement; neither tells you whether a show suits your taste, and neither chart is a critical verdict. The JustWatch top ten also spans very different kinds of titles, from South Park to Slow Horses. Use the list as a snapshot of what people are engaging with, then choose by genre, premise and the viewing experience you want.
