For a varied 2025 watchlist, start with Reacher for action, Fallout for post-apocalyptic science fiction, or Clarkson’s Farm for unscripted entertainment. This editorial selection combines independent recommendations with Amazon’s own 2025 title guide; it is not an official platform ranking or a critic-consensus top ten. Several picks are returning seasons, so check the season number and your local Prime Video listing before you press play.
10 Prime Video shows from 2025 worth adding to your watchlist
The picks are arranged by viewing mood, not ranked against one another. Tom’s Guide included Reacher, Fallout, We Were Liars, The Girlfriend and Gen V in its December 2025 selection. Amazon’s 2025 guide supplies descriptions for the other titles and additional context for several returning seasons.
1. Reacher, season 3 — action and crime
Best for: Viewers after a direct, fast-moving action thriller. In season 3, Reacher goes undercover inside a criminal enterprise as part of a rescue mission involving an undercover DEA informant. The season adapts Lee Child’s novel Persuader. Tom’s Guide selected it for its 2025 Prime Video list; Rotten Tomatoes listed season 3 at 98% on its 2025 guide, a dated score snapshot rather than a permanent measure of quality. Tom’s Guide’s picks and Rotten Tomatoes’ 2025 guide provide the supporting selections and score.
2. Fallout, season 2 — post-apocalyptic science fiction
Best for: Viewers who enjoy elaborate wasteland settings and video-game adaptations. Season 2 takes the story through the Mojave toward New Vegas. Amazon reported a December 16, 2025 premiere date. Amazon’s December 2025 Prime Video guide gives the release date and setting; Tom’s Guide also selected the series for its year-end list.

4. The Girlfriend — psychological thriller
Best for: Viewers who like simmering suspicion and tense family dynamics. A mother becomes wary of her son’s new girlfriend, and that distrust drives the psychological-thriller setup. Check local Prime Video availability
A title appearing in an editorial guide does not establish that it is included with Prime in every country. Amazon’s roundup is UK-specific, and availability or the way a title can be watched may differ by region and change over time. Before settling on a show, open its title page in Prime Video for your country and check whether it is included with Prime or requires another channel, rental or purchase. Amazon’s 2025–2026 lineup announcement provides broader platform context, but it is not a guarantee of local access to each selection.
