PerthNow reported on 8 October 2024 that Wolfe said one person fainted near the start of the film and another near the end; she said the young woman who fell suffered a head injury and received help. The accounts do not establish why either person fainted.
What Emma Wolfe said happened
PerthNow quoted Wolfe describing two attendees who felt queasy and tried to leave the cinema. “One during the start and one during the end, both trying to run down the stairs to get out of the cinema because they felt queasy,” she said. Wolfe also asked, “Why did two people faint right in front of me during that film?” PerthNow’s 8 October 2024 report attributes those remarks to Wolfe.

In a related account published the day before, Bloody Disgusting quoted Wolfe’s statement to director Damien Leone: “They both fainted trying to leave the film running down the stairs…I spoke to them directly.” The outlet said the woman had a head wound and was with staff and her friend.
What is—and is not—confirmed
The available accounts identify Wolfe as an eyewitness, but the reported details remain attributed to her. They do not include a statement from Innaloo Cinemas, authorities or either attendee, nor do they document a medical assessment. Wolfe said the young woman received help and that both people were okay; the reports do not establish a medical cause for either fainting episode.

Wolfe described the experience of seeing people hurt while watching the film as strange: “To see actual people getting hurt while I’m watching it, I’m just not used to that, I’m not used to horror actually hurting people, so that was a really strange experience,” PerthNow quoted her as saying. Her reaction is an eyewitness’s description of the moment, not an explanation of what caused the two people to faint.
