Who was behind the cocktails?
Five bartenders were named for the event: Catherine Chelsea of Terrarium Perth, Jac Landmark of Bar Love, Benjamin Thomson of Recabite, Riley Horspool of Bobechè, and Marco Barsotti of Songbird at the Ritz-Carlton. PerthNow reported their involvement but did not assign individual drinks to particular bartenders.
What does a Negroni taste like for a first-time drinker?
Terrarium Perth’s Instagram described the drink as “bitter, sweet (and) delicious,” according to PerthNow. Stucken cautioned that a first Negroni can taste “quite bitter and quite jarring,” and suggested giving it a few tries: “Give it a few goes and suddenly you realise you quite like it.”

Stucken said he chose Cat Haven because cats can suit hospitality workers’ lives and because the organisation’s work to re-home and nurture cats helps prevent their reproduction in the wild, which he described as important for native flora and fauna. His remarks explain the choice behind this event’s fundraiser; they do not establish an ongoing commercial partnership between Terrarium Perth and Cat Haven.
