PerthNow’s October 18, 2025 preview scheduled Telethon to begin at 7pm at Perth’s RAC Arena, with a 26-hour broadcast on Channel 7 and 7plus. That was the event’s advance schedule, not a current viewing notice: a retrospective report published in July 2026 says the 2025 fundraiser ultimately raised $90.1 million for 147 beneficiary charities.
What the 2025 preview announced
Telethon is a Western Australian fundraising broadcast that PerthNow said had been part of the state’s life since 1968. Its October 2025 preview described a 26-hour event combining live music, television personalities and fundraising for children’s causes.
The preview said the event would support more than 160 local charities serving sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children. It also reported that the previous year’s fundraiser had raised $83 million. Those were figures presented ahead of the 2025 broadcast, rather than its final result.
Performers and television guests announced
The preview named a wide-ranging group of performers and on-air guests. It announced Ronan Keating for both the opening and closing shows, alongside Shannon Noll, Rob Mills, Dami Im, Casey Donovan, Gisella Colletti, The Ten Tenors, The 60 Four and Emma Memma.

Television personalities listed included Manu Feildel; Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington; The Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies; Better Homes and Gardens personalities Johanna Griggs, Dr Harry Cooper, Adam Dovile, Charlie Albone and Juliet Love; and cast members from Home and Away.
This was an advance list, not a complete running order or confirmation that every announced appearance took place.

What Telethon 2025 ultimately raised
A July 2026 retrospective by The West Australian reported that the 2025 event raised $90.1 million for 147 beneficiary charities. It also identified the Sony Foundation as a beneficiary and described its You Can Stay accommodation program for families of children receiving care at Perth Children’s Hospital.
The retrospective figure differs in both amount and beneficiary count from the preview’s advance information: PerthNow reported the previous year’s $83 million and an expectation of more than 160 charities, while the later report gave the final 2025 total and 147 beneficiaries. The figures refer to different stages of reporting and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Viewing and donation details are historical
For the scheduled 2025 broadcast, PerthNow listed Channel 7 and 7plus as viewing platforms. Its article also printed phone donations at 1300 737 507, with credit-card donations by phone, and cheque or money order by post to Telethon, PO Box 1777, DC Osborne Park, WA 6916. These are details from a 2025 article; confirm current viewing and donation arrangements directly with Telethon before relying on them.
